Running your app

Sleep and wake

An app that nobody uses stops running, and starts again when a person opens it.

Why it exists

Many apps are used for a few minutes each day. When nobody uses an app for a while, Apervia stops it so that it uses no resources. Your data stays safe.

What a person sees

When a person opens a sleeping app, they see a short Waking up page. The app starts, and the page opens it on its own. This usually takes a few seconds.

Only a person who can open the app can wake it.

Change how long it waits

  1. Open the environment and go to Sleep.
  2. Choose how long the app can be idle before it sleeps, or turn sleep off.

Your administrator sets the default for the whole organisation in Settings.
